For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful Psalms 139: 13-14 This little family of three just fills my heart. It takes me back to the day I brought home my son. My home was all the sudden full, just like my heart. You’ll find a new favorite corner, the one where you rock your baby to sleep. You’ll pace up and down the halls humming lullabies until the wee hours. Your living room floor will be your favorite seat in the house, where you’ll end up watching them crawl and play. I know the Thompson’s home is now bursting at the seams with joy now that John has arrived.
“Time stands still best in moments that look suspiciously like ordinary life.”
There is nothing like the first few days of motherhood. All the wonders & worries of becoming a mother. Its uncharted, yet familiar territory. Studying over every feature, memorizing every inch of their tiny face. I know how important that time was in my life, its a treasure that I am able to capture it for other families so they can always remember.
